Writing Beyond Formats
Synergies Between Games and Series

With titles such as “The Last of Us”, “Arcane: League of Legends” and “Avatar”, the borders between games and serial fiction are becoming fluid. But what are the differences in the writing processes, how do we reach our deftness in both formats and make the most of your IP?  Come and immerse yourself in the world of games and series when Den Danske Filmskole in collaboration with European Writers Club (EWC) welcomes influential voices from both industries to a seminar, focusing on the interaction between the two different writing processes.

Join us on the 6th of June at Den Danske Filmskole, Theodor Christensens Plads 1, 1437 København K. Seminar starts at 14:00, followed by drinks at 18:00.

The Last of Us.jpeg

Video games have long overtaken the film industry in the worldwide earnings. However, film and TV producers have only found significant success with adaptations like "Fallout" and "The Last of Us".

Join European Writers Club and Den Danske Filmskole on the for a seminar exploring the creative processes of both mediums. Discover differences and similarities in writing for each format and learn how to maximize intellectual properties.

Industry experts like Media Advisor Keld Reinicke and writers Soni Jorgensen, Odin Schafer, Aoife O’Frielm and Christian Fonnesbech will discuss the evolving gaming landscape, the convergence of TV series and games, and the unique challenges for screenwriters in each medium exploring topics from narrative design to industry partnerships, IP utilization, and their visions for synergies between the two industries.
